Parrot Heads of the Lakelands was founded in November 2020 and is an officially licensed chapter of the national organization, Parrot Heads in Paradise (phip.com). Parrot Heads are known for having a good time (and a few drinks!), but don't let our dress code and crazy concert behavior fool you. We're also known for our charitable activities throughout our local communities. Parrot Heads "Party with a Purpose."
What started with one club in Atlanta, Georgia, formed by Scott Nickerson, has grown to over 200 clubs in the US, Canada, Europe, the Caribbean and Australia. Parrot Heads of the Lakelands is a not-for-profit corporation founded with fun and philanthropy in mind that provides social activities for anyone interested in the music of Jimmy Buffett and the tropical, laidback lifestyle he has come to personify.
While we are a new club and we're still evolving, we plan to support local charitable organizations and environmental concerns in the Lake Greenwood, SC area. As our membership grows, so will the list of organizations that we support.
